Acknowledge the Storm

The despair is real. It is cold, it is heavy, and it is here. Do not fight it. Let it be exactly as it is without trying to change it.

Step Two

Find the Sky

Beneath the noise of your thoughts, there is a silent, awake space. This is PURE MIND. It is the part of you that is aware of the pain. Notice that the awareness itself is not in pain. It is vast, still, and calm.

Step Three

Let Go into the Holding

You are not the storm; you are the sky. You are not the despair; you are the vastness that contains it.

The Practice

“There is despair… and there is the Space that holds it. I am that Space.”
